Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, I arrived in Boston in 2007 to pursue a BFA in painting at Boston University. Hawaii’s cultural diversity and my parents’ love of food gave me a deep appreciation for food and the power it has to bring people together. After graduating from BU, and with 6 years of customer service experience, I grew tired of working a corporate retail job and longed to be able to respect and stand behind the company I worked for. I wanted to use my passion for management at a place I could be proud of, and I found a perfect fit at Flour. Since 2011 I’ve worked as front-of-house manager at the South End, Back Bay, and Central Square Flour locations and I’ve had the privilege of leading the wonderful teams there. In 2017 I became Flour’s Assistant Director of Operations as we have grown and brought amazing food and hospitality to more neighborhoods. When I’m not at Flour, I can be found wandering around Dedham, cooking, or searching for farmer’s markets.
