I grew up in El Salvador coming to America in 2003 wanting to work hard and realize the American dream! My first job was working as plumber – I have nothing against plumbers, but fixing many leaking pipes is not for me.

I started working for Flour in 2008 as a steward washing dishes and cleaning the bakeries, all while learning as much as I could about cooking and working in a professional kitchen. I worked my way up the ranks with the help and guidance from “mama” (Joanne Chang!) and our talented chefs, Aniceto Sousa and Corey Johnson. With their help I’ve become the Savory Production Chef at Flour’s Breadquarters (our production kitchen) where I oversee the creation of many components of our savory offerings.

When I’m not at Flour I am visiting my man JC at Santisimo Redentor Catholic Church in East Boston. I love working at Flour and I’m extreamly grateful for all the opportunities it has provided for me and my family.
