I was raised in Denver, Colorado. Food has always been a very important thing in my family and it was always the BEST way to bring people together. My family always sat down to dinner together whenever we could. My father loves to cook and my mother loves to host which led to tons of food and tons of people coming and going all of the time. Everyone knew they were always welcome to come over for dinner or appetizers or just long conversations. I also spent most of my weekends helping my father in barbecue competitions. I loved the fast-paced, high-pressure environment of the competitions and I LOVE the smell of a smoker full of meat! Growing up this way I couldn’t help but want to spend my life in restaurants. A few years back, life brought me to Boston and when it was time to find a job I googled “best bakeries in Boston” and Flour Bakery was the first to pop up! After working here, I quickly realized that it is truly the best bakery in Boston and not just for the sticky buns! Flour has some of the best people you will ever meet. When I’m not at Flour I spend my time on the phone with my mom and my sister or baking or cooking delicious meals with my roommates.
